The 2005 vintage armagnac from Domaine Lous Pibous, bottled as a brut de fut by L’Encantada, is a rare and exceptional Gascon spirit aged 20 years in oak casks.

Crafted by traditional continuous still distillation from Folle Blanche, Colombard, this 2005 vintage from the Domaine Lous Pibous expresses all the depth and character of the Bas-Armagnac terroir. Bottled uncut and unfiltered straight from the cask.

Tasting notes: Pale gold robe. Fresh fruity nose — white-fleshed fruits, flowers and subtle oak. Light, vibrant palate with floral aromas and a clean, persistent finish.

Serving: Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. Perfect digestif or special occasion spirit.

Tasting note

Nose

Very engaging, intense woodiness. Initially a little firm, gradually leading to greater power and complexity. Notes of honey, apricot, dried fruit, fig and mahogany. Very elegant and attractive!

Palate

A veritable explosion of flavours! Very intense and despite its high ABV, the alcohol is well worked. A strong but elegant character. Notes of fruit and honey add roundness.

Overall

Perfectly balanced, harmonious and powerful. This Armagnac is beautifully crafted and will offer a fantastic experience to those who know how to wait. Congrats!
