Description

Armagnac Coureau Vieille Réserve is an exceptional eau-de-vie from Domaine Coureau, a remarkable Gascon estate selected by L’Encantada for the outstanding quality of its aged spirits.

This Vieille Réserve (Old Reserve) is the result of extended aging in Gascon oak casks. The blend of old vintages from Domaine Coureau offers a rich and complex aromatic profile, typical of great Bas-Armagnacs. Each bottle reflects the artisan craft of traditional pot still distillation and the patience of the cellar master.

Tasting notes: Golden mahogany colour. The nose reveals old wood, vanilla, candied fruit and gentle spice aromas. On the palate, the attack is full and generous, with a beautiful roundness and a long finish of blond tobacco and chocolate.

Nose

Very ripe fruit, slightly oxidized apple emerges from the glass. We feel the sweetness and it arouses curiosity, a touch of raisins …

Palate

Cooked caramel, a pleasant sensation of freshly ground coffee, vanilla and hints of cinnamon and other spices clash. The slight bitterness is interesting because it brings a vivacity, a small thread to finish on notes of roasted dried fruits, currants, a slice of gingerbread. The journey is complex but the promise is in the glass!
