The 1990 vintage armagnac from Domaine Lassalle, bottled as a brut de fut by L’Encantada, is a rare and exceptional Gascon spirit aged 35 years in oak casks.

Crafted by traditional continuous still distillation from Ugni Blanc, Baco, this 1990 vintage from the Domaine Lassalle expresses all the depth and character of the Bas-Armagnac terroir. Bottled uncut and unfiltered straight from the cask.

Tasting notes: Deep amber robe. Generous nose of candied fruits, vanilla, gentle spice and elegant wood. Rich, ample palate with soft tannins, milk chocolate notes and a beautiful aromatic length.

Serving: Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. Perfect digestif or special occasion spirit.

Tasting note

Nose

Very ripe fruit, slightly oxidized apple emerges from the glass. We feel the sweetness and it arouses curiosity, a touch of raisins …

Palate

Cooked caramel, a pleasant sensation of freshly ground coffee, vanilla and hints of cinnamon and other spices clash. The slight bitterness is interesting because it brings a vivacity, a small thread to finish on notes of roasted dried fruits, currants, a slice of gingerbread. The journey is complex but the promise is in the glass!
