The 2006 vintage armagnac from Domaine Del Pouy, bottled as a brut de fut by L’Encantada, is aged 19 years in Gascon oak casks — an authentic expression of Bas-Armagnac terroir.

Distilled by traditional continuous armagnac still from Ugni Blanc, Baco, this unfiltered, uncut vintage perfectly reflects the character of the Domaine Del Pouy, one of L’Encantada’s hand-selected estate producers.

Tasting notes: Pale gold robe. Fresh, fruity nose — white-fleshed fruits, citrus, light vanilla. Light, lively palate with good freshness and a clean, aromatic finish.

Serving: Enjoy neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. Perfect as a digestif or on special occasions.

Tasting note

Nose

The first nose reveals spicy notes with the presence of licorice. Then comes the brioche side for this Pouy 2006 domain. The candied fruits and the greediness of the dried apricot emerge from the glass.

Palate

Aromas of roasted coffee, vanilla and we find well in mouth the liquorice. The power is expressed in this 2006.

Overall

In the finish we feel the woody of the oak and the sweetness of the caramel. An invitation to continue this tasting of this armagnac with a younger, lively and silky profile.
