The Tattoo Series #1 Bourbon Cask is a bold and innovative expression from L’Encantada. This 2011 vintage Armagnac from Domaine Labeyrie was traditionally aged for 25 years in local Gascon oak casks, then given a finishing period in bourbon barrels to create a unique flavour profile.
This Armagnac is bottled cask strength in 50cl, preserving the full intensity and natural character of this exceptional spirit. The bourbon finish adds layers of vanilla, caramel and toasted oak to the classic Bas-Armagnac character, creating a truly distinctive and collectible expression.
Tasting notes: Rich amber robe. The nose opens with vanilla, toasted oak, sweet caramel and a hint of dried fruit typical of old Armagnac. On the palate, the attack is powerful yet balanced, with layers of bourbon spice (cinnamon, clove), toffee and a characteristic Gascon rancio. Long, warming finish.
